The Cavern Kitchen Assistant

The Cavern

The coffee shop functions as a regular coffee shop but with a difference! It offers work experience training for vulnerable and disadvantaged people including those with complex needs. It is also a community venue and safe place for young people, those with complex mental health needs and adults with learning difficulties who need support. We support people in a person centred, and trauma informed way.

The Cavern is open 10am-11pm 6 days a week and 12pm-11pm on a Sunday so shift work will be required. This role exists on an “as needed” basis and as such is a zero hours contract.

The ideal candidate for this position is a passionate, people focused individual. They would be confident working in a busy kitchen environment and managing the individual tasks involved during a shift. More importantly than that they will have a passion for seeing people become the best they can be. Passionate about helping people to eat healthily and have fresh meals of a good quality. They will have an appreciation for the values of Treasure Seekers as an organisation and actively want to support the vision through their work.

  • All applicants will be required to undergo a Basic DBS check and must provide two references before a start date can be arranged.
